The in character rules of SM. The following covers situations such as IC drama, role-playing, Godly interactions, etc.
Drama
--
► Sciamachy Mortala encourages IC drama, to an extent.
Without it-- certain branches wouldn't be able to do their duties and plots would be unable to branch off between members of the group. However, anything regarding the entirety of the pack or something that affects multiple persons’ characters, will have to be approved by a staff and approved by everyone it may affect before going forward ICly. This is to help in terms of making sure that anything that may happen, is accepted by all parties involved and any consequences or otherwise are accepted beforehand. In addition to this, we ask that to the bare minimum plots that may lead to IC punishment or otherwise, be role-played out in the Discord server role-play channels.
Role-playing
--
► Any role-play that may be considered NSFW (extreme gore, sensitive subjects, sexual instances, etc), under no circumstance do you continue it for all to see.
Remove yourself and any involved parties from the public role-playing area. If need be, fade to black or time skip. The same goes for the birthing of pups. However, it slightly varies. Only those who wish to be involved (Parents, medic, pups themselves, etc), either in the RP itself or just to see may be included.
► Private / DM role-plays are entirely acceptable.
However, for the purposes of ensuring minimal activity and allowing our branches to do their duties-- we ask that to the minimum some rp's be done within the available Discord role-play channels in the server itself.
► While in character and role-playing, we encourage a minimum of one to two plus paragraphs. We are lenient with the time frames between each person posting, so if you feel like you are not up to posting and you won't be able to respond to the rp-- you are always able to close the rp at anytime or simply wait a day or two before you feel you are able to write something up.
► Marysue's, god-modding, power-playing, etc-- are not allowed whatsoever. While within this pack, everyone, even high ranks and leaders, are bound to get hurt-- whether through spars, brawls, or otherwise. Aging, previous wounds, genetic mutations such as gigantism, etc; are a thing and they take effect on your characters body.
► While we are more-so Discord orientated, it goes without saying to refrain from post-cutting or jumping a post order. If symbols such as ‘>>’, ‘>’, ‘[c]’,’+’, etc or any other variation is shown, then patiently wait for them to finish their post before posting yourself. If a post order has been made for a multi-character role-play, please do not skip someone else in favor of your turn.
► Semi-realistic in terms of what our characters are enabled to do. While we allow more unrealistic things in nature, our characters are still to retain a generalized ideology in regards to them being canine. Which essentially means, no-- we will not accept characters that give extremely unfair advantages over others within the pack. We are a primarily Wolf based pack-- though we accept other species and even hybrids.
► Accepting of characters of a varying array of colors and schemes. Blue, red, yellow, etc-- all colors are accepted. However, we would like to make note that characters with neon colors will either be asked to be toned down or rejected. To see our color chart on what would and would not be accepted; Coming Soon.
Items -- ► Items are allowed. While they are allowed, Sciamachy Mortala will sometimes use items as rewards for certain achievements within the pack and even during plots. If your character comes in with items, we will not ask you to remove them-- however items are to be earned from their time upon joining the pack. Additionally, please remain aware that piercings (especially one's that dangle or protrude) / items, can be ripped out either accidentally during a spar, brawl, or on purpose during a punishment, etc.
The Gods & Goddesses
--
► When interacting with Sciamachy Mortala's Gods and Goddesses, they are not held accountable by the same “ask first, do later” rule for punishments / smiting.
If you anger a God or Goddess, you run the risk of accepting whatever punishment they may give to any of your given characters. Usually, they will warn you before-hand, but other times with Gods’ such as Anthek & Gozgriz, they won’t hesitate.
The only thing they won’t do is kill your character-- but anything else (subject to their own abilities) is free-game.
Breeding / Litters
--
► Characters coming into ‘heat’ can only happen in the spring.
To clarify, going into heat does not suddenly make your female character ‘desirable’ or make them want to find a partner as fast as possible. If anything, it may make female’s more irritable and possibly more inclined to mate depending on the circumstances. This does not mean you cannot have pups throughout the other seasons.
► Pups born in more dangerous seasons food-wise and weather-wise such as Winter may be subject to death.
In such a case the staff will alert you before the acceptance of your litter application. This also goes in cases of more dangerous chapter plots, in the stances of a war, internal rebellion, etc.
► When having a litter please also keep in mind the size of the parents involved, fertility rate, possible mutations that may be gained, etc.
Please check our litter requirements for more information such as our litter size limit, other requirements before having a litter, etc; Litter Requirements.
IC Punishments / Laws
--
► ICly, Sciamachy Mortala has what can be considered a 'revolving door' rule system.
The in character 'laws' of the pack that are set by that of the De'tanxi may change with each new De'tanxi-- as each new leader may rule with a firmer, stricter, or gentler hand. This opens up the group to new plots and also goes to show how each ruler may differ from the previous. Some laws may remain continuous, they may be changed to be allowed, or they could be entirely removed.
To see the current laws set by De'tanxi Lefix, refer here; Pack Laws.
► In regards to IC punishment, if your character does something that goes against the pack laws set by the De'tanxi-- keep in mind they can be punished accordingly for said offense and/or be punished by Gods.
Punishments will only be what you allow to happen to your character and they will always be ran through for confirmation beforehand-- the level of a given punishment depends on the severity of the broken law. For example, brawling may get you a minor punishment or just a warning while attempting to majorly harm another individual will get a more severe punishment.
