Kings were known to have it, the emotion to want more and strive for it without any regard other than simply wanting to have more than another or possess what they feel the need for as well as the strength and might in order to keep whatever their emotion begged them to possess well within reach. Catch, capture, conquer, own, and repeat until nothing was left but your own collection of prizes. A simple, mundane, process really; to most. But one that requires a certain mindset that lingers back to the very dawn of time and stirs even in the gentlest of creatures; and a mighty god rules the entirety of it.
Gozgriz, a beast of a god older than what some may question to be time itself. He housed and spawned the emotions of greed and the power one would need to get what they desire. He himself could be said to be the greediest of all, playing tricks to doom the souls of beings that would eventually succumb to whatever consequences came from it, or speaking in riddles until they had to bow and beg for the answer they needed.
Even though he was devoted to every being upon the earth’s flesh, (considering that even a squirrel had enough greed to steal a nut they needed for winter from a bird), he found himself lured to the alluring draw of one’s so joyful and proud they didn’t have any need to be greedy, at-least for the moment. As much as he was greedy, the male did know the boundaries of how far he could take it—but it turned out he didn’t need to worry much. The young goddess had burned herself out all on her own. Years passed and the male couldn’t say he hadn’t enjoyed the slight relief from the constant drain and fulfillment of power from his worshippers, so he went in search for her, a trick up his sleeve to bring her back and keep her from returning to isolation.
However, when he returned, with no goddess in hand—plans muffled, his usual calm unsettled and that much was seen through the wars his own powers sparked over battles for land and other oddities. When he came face to face with the young goddess, both of them sparked like a flame, though for utterly different reasons. Gozgriz wished for the female to be his despite his previous anger, and he figured Stolthet to be fearful and angry as she had possibly figured out about his trick and wondered if he had planned to kill her. Gozgriz had no intent, now as they battled with snarky remarks, witty comments, and heat flaring higher as it did, he only wished to have the female as his own and no one else’s.
This was the only time the male allowed his greed to settle into his very own heart and take seed, but whose to say a different emotion wouldn’t settle there as well as time continued?
Gozgriz takes the form of a mighty bear, deep black eyes would stare at you from the shadows as you prayed, thick tufts dancing in the unnatural wind with paintings of gold and red.
If you pray upon this god, you have a chance of being blessed or punished. Keep this in mind when bowing your head. Plot/Monthly Updates;
- Chapter One ; Gozgriz's own greed had cemented such an underlying sense of want that he had taken drastic measures during the winter. He wanted more and while his usual self-control would normally have kept him from being so urged by the very powers he controlled, he had found himself helpless to the temptation of absolute control. Even going as far to drag the god of the very energy the mortals lived upon, Tantoa, into his cause. It was foolish, truly. But as the spring dawned and with his powers at their maximum "use", he turned his bulky head and greedy gold eyes in the direction of Stolthet. Spring was the time of love, was it not? And his greedy heart wanted all of what the Goddess had to offer.
- Chapter Two ; He had gotten what he wanted--and even with the mark now seemingly seared into his flesh through the formulated bond--he couldn't find it within himself to no longer care beyond his original plans. While, for now--he was away, it wouldn't be much longer before he would have to return, after all it seemed as if their powers were much stronger than he anticipated and he would need all the help he could get with them. While he could possibly face both wrath or surprised welcoming to the addition he brought alongside him, he would be bringing them back whether they liked it or not.
- Chapter Three ; It was a split second decision made in the heat of the previous season. He wasn't sure if it was his first or second head that decided it would be a good idea to follow her--but nevertheless here they were now. His flesh seared with that of the mark of a claimed God--that very same mark seared onto her own flesh. And with red eyes that glared back at him with the same energy he could only recognize as pure unadulterated 'power'--was their son. A progeny of their own fruition. To say he was proud was an understatement--even if his beloved didn't share the same sentiment and refused now to utter a single word. That was okay with him though--for he still had access to her mind.
- Chapter Four ; What was that one quote? "Lying is done with words and also silence". If that was true, then at least he wasn't giving himself away entirely. As for his dear wife, she would simply have to stay silent. She would remain silent. His checking in ensured it-- and even if her mind seemed to be slightly cracking at the seams, it was what had to be done. Though he wasn't quite sure if fear or shame made her pause whenever he saw her part her maw--on the cusp of speaking, but nevertheless she stayed silent. And for once he had peace--and he had his son. Surely something was missing. Gozgriz's Preferred Form;
