wolf... but a big boi so if possible, he's kinda tall and lanky, so over 4ft but not too heavy

yes- he got his tail chopped in two so however it's plausible that his spoopy boi self reattached it with some rusty chain that is now basically,,, grown into him
horns and bones on back can be cosmetic and not used for spars
