Information relating to the specialized branch items that can only be earned during chapter plots. What they are, how to earn them, etc. How can I earn them? -- ► You would earn these specialized items via our Chapter Plots! They are only available to get during those events and will be technically unable to be crafted or otherwise in generalized terms.
Could I use my allowed instances for piercings/jewelry/etc that I also get as a chapter plot reward, to gain more of these special items? -- ► No, the fixed amount given for the specialized items is exactly how much you get for them.
What are they? -- ► They are items specific to the branches, much like the Imbrues-- to show another way beyond one's rank, how a member has contributed to the pack. The more a single character has of each of the individual items (Aka; the more teeth, shells/flowers, gems, etc), the more respected they may be-- even if they aren't a high rank.
► They are branch specific, meaning each branch has a different specialized item. Guards; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Guard branch, they would gain a twine-like vine that would wrap primarily around either their neck, tail, or legs. Every time after that, that they have earned a specialized item and choose to give it to the same guard character-- they would gain a feather (preferably Eagle) that would be added to the base of their twine like vine they had previously earned. Punishers; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Punisher branch, they would gain their necklace (thinly sheared dead palm leaves that are individually wrapped around one another to form a sturdier but flexible base). Afterwards, every time after that-- a tooth would be gained and added to the necklace (preferably Shark Teeth unless the Punisher provides a different type of tooth). Fighters; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Fighter branch, they would gain a hide harness (harvested from the hide of deer, elk, etc). Every time after that a tooth (similar to that of the Punishers) is additionally added to their harness. Spirituals; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Spiritual branch, they would first gain the base of their headpiece (it can either be made from sheared palm leaves (like the Punishers necklace), thinly carved pieces of wood, vine, precious metals, etc). Afterward, with each time a gem would be additionally added to the headpiece-- the gem being that of the given Spiritual's personal preference. Healers; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Healer branch, they would first gain their hide pouch with leather strips so they can bring it with them wherever they go (harvested the same as like with the Fighters). After that, the healer may choose to decorate their pouch (with each earned specialized item) with either Shells or pressed Flowers. Hunters; The first time one chooses to give the specialized item to a character of the Hunter branch, they would gain a single hide strip that would be wrap around their forelegs (either painted or indented with the hunter's choice of their greatest hunted achievement). Every time after that the hunter would gain more and more strips of decorate hide to wrap around their forelegs, eventually creating a look similar to a leg brace.
So to decorate the "base" of the special item my character may have, I would need to choose the same character the next time I earn a specialized branch item reward? -- ► Yes! Much like when you choose how to split up rank task mark offs or generalized item rewards that you may earn, please be clear with staff which character (if you have more than one) you are giving your specialized item rewards too. Staff will make sure to keep record of how many teeth, shells, gems, etc-- a given character may have but we urge you to also keep track yourself just in case. The "base" of the specialized item reward counts as one of your given 'rewards' for that being used, so if let's say you get First place in a chapter plot and want to use your 3 special item rewards on one character that doesn't have the item yet; it would happen like this; Base (-1 special item) -> Decorative item (-1) -> Decorative item (-1). So you would have two of whatever the decorative item for that branch is automatically added to the base they just got.
Can I get an example of how the process of getting them would work? -- ► Sure! Let's use the Healer branch's specialized item as an example. Since these items can only be earned by getting first, second, or third place in chapter plots-- let us also say that you came in First, which means that you would have earned 3 special item rewards. In our example healer's case, they have never gotten a specialized item before. So 1 of those special item rewards would go towards the "base" aka the healer's hide pouch itself, the remaining two special item rewards they have (because they came in First) would go towards the "decoration" of their herbal pouch with either shells or flowers.
► You may be thinking-- then what if I only earn 1 special item rewards? It depends on which character you put it towards. If you put it on a character that doesn't have a special item at all already, they will just get the "base" of whatever branch item they are apart of. If the character you chose already had the "base" of the special item, they would get the more "decorative" part of it (aka the teeth, flowers, shells, gems, etc).
What do they look like? -- ► Visual representation (beyond just verbal description), much like the lore pieces will soon be getting added! Please be patient with staff as we work to give y'all the best visual look at the items would actually look like on your characters. Coming Soon.
