Information relating to the pieces often times dropped into RP channels; what they mean, why they get dropped, when they drop, etc. What are they? -- ► Lore 'pieces' and the corresponding lore that was found from those 'pieces' officially began to be found within Chapter Five. Though, that doesn't directly explain what they are. To keep it simple, 'lore pieces' are a random "item" type drop that occurs ICly within role-play channels.
How can my character find them? -- ► Once a 'piece' is dropped into a role-play channel (sans task channels such as when a character is sparring, hunting, or otherwise)-- you and whomever you may be role-playing with will have from two to five OOC days to have your characters find the dropped piece, so long as one person finds the piece it will count. If it is not found within that time period, the piece will be marked by staff with an 'x' or something similar and ICly the piece will have 'disappeared'. From the point of the piece being 'found' by a character-- staff will 'reveal' what corresponding bit of lore you have found on-site.
It is usually mentioned that when a lore piece is dropped that whomever finds it should take it to one of the Royalty branch, but this is entirely optional.
Are they random? -- ► Yes! Staff will drop the pieces at random. Their may be a flux of five pieces in five different chats on one single day or they could go months without a single piece being dropped.
Will I know what piece of Lore I have found? -- ► You will not know what bit of lore you have found until after the piece has officially been noticed by your character ICly in the role-play channel where it has been dropped. Once it has been, staff will update the pertaining Volume and content, you (and whoever else you were role-playing with) will be tagged as the one's who found that specific piece of lore via your on-site accounts. To see where the Lore is being updated; Lore.
What are the lore pieces that can be dropped look like? -- ► They look like the following four images below;
Usually, when dropped they will also come with a short message. Note; the pieces may be updated in the future.
Do the different pieces have meanings? -- ► Yes! The largest piece (aka the one that is compromised of all of the other pieces together), is a Very Rare piece. If dropped and found, it usually means that the information found will cover an entire piece of content rather than a snippet or two like the other pieces. The second largest piece (looks to be on the ride side), is a Very Rare piece. If dropped and found, the information given will usually compromise of a few sentences; which sometimes is more than enough to complete a bit of content. The third largest piece (looks to be on the left side), is a Rare piece. If dropped and found, at max the individual will have found two sentences relating to the content they just found information for. And last but not least, the smallest piece of them all, is a Rare / Somewhat Common piece. If dropped and found, the person will have gained a singular sentence in regards to a bit of content.
