The out of character rules of SM. The following covers situations such as character limits, warning systems, activity, etc. Activity -- ► Sciamachy Mortala is generally lenient in terms of activity. In terms of activity, we understand that our members have lives beyond role-playing and otherwise. However, at the minimum we expect members of the group to do their activity checks as they happen, one monthly rank related rp, and if they have the time too- to participate in our chapter plots. Make use of posting absences if you feel your activity is going to be dipping.
► To keep the pack active and alive, we do monthly to bi-monthly activity checks. To give some insight onto our activity checks; All characters a person may own and have within the pack are included in an activity check, this includes unborn characters. If one fails to post an activity check without posting in absences before the activity check starts it will usually result in a warning. Otherwise, activity checks are simple forms filled out by members and posted and then marked with staff approval so we can roster our members.
► If you find yourself unable to participate or you know you are going to be extremely absent for a period of time, we have temporary leave. Temporary leave implies you not leaving the server, but temporarily removing your character from role-play ICly for a time-period of four to six months-- where at the end of such you decide if you are ready to come back or otherwise. There is no limit to how many times you can do this, but please use it as a last resort.
Characters -- ► We have no character limit. Though, if you yourself feel you can’t handle it, don’t grab another character. We want to support you in being able to develop your character(s), however many you may decide to put into the group.
► Within the Discord server, all of your character names must be in your discord nickname. So everyone knows who owns what character in the case of wanting to ask to role-play or otherwise. If you have more than four characters, you may choose to shorten it down to your primary main character name.
► Frequent character switching. While we may not have a character limit, we would like to ask members not to frequently switch out characters.
Warning Systems -- ► Differing warnings depending on the subject. If necessary a ban or kick will be the final solution to a problem or circumstance. If a person is kicked under the terms of activity, you may return after a set period of time. If a person is kicked in regards to outlasting a temporary leave, you are able to rejoin whenever--under the pretense of a character limit. If a person is banned (depending on the circumstances behind such), should they ask to rejoin after a years worth of time they may attempt to repeal their ban. If a person is kicked under the terms of behavioral warnings, after a set period of time they may attempt to repeal their kick.
► Our activity check warnings go as the following below. You get four warnings and these specific warnings are given out in regards to failed activity checks. The first warning is a gentle reminder and a 'free pass' for one character (should you have more than one), the second warning is a role-play restriction (your character being unable to do certain types of role-plays for a given time period), the third warning is a character reduction / character limit placed upon an individual for two months time, and the fourth and final warning is either being placed on temporary leave or being removed from the group.
► Our OOC or behavioral warnings go as the following below. With behavioral warnings, more often than not staff will resort to gentle redirection (such as spam in the wrong channels, etc) rather than handing out an outright warning-- however if the actions persist; the staff may choose to do such. Arguments, discourse, or otherwise are to be kept out of SM's channels and moved to DM's if necessary.
Art & Medias -- ► Art made for SM, stays with the group. If you have made art for one of SM's chapters or otherwise, it stays with the group-- even should you leave, with proper credit to the given artist.
► Any type of theft (art, design, preset, etc). Is considered no tolerance, please be respectful of others and give credit where it is due for line-arts, bases, or otherwise.
Chatting -- ► SM retains a mature environment, however sexual content is to be kept to a minimum within the group chat. Jokes of the dirtier variety, so long as they don't borderline on 'TMI'-- are acceptable. However, please keep pictures, gifs, and more explicitly related conversation in the designated NSFW chat. Even with a mature environment we do not approve of mentions of; suicide, rape, usage of racial slurs, and we do not accept any forms of bullying/harassment.
► While it cannot be earned in one day, respect towards one another is expected. Please consider other members as what they are, human beings behind the characters they play. To the minimum courtesy between one another within the pack is expected.
