Represented by the color tan.
__________ -Rank 1-
Te'eko
Tier I-V
5 trainings, 2 tier one hunts, 1 Imbrue.
The Te’eko title is the starting line for beings looking to go beyond the borders of Sciamachy Mortala, not to patrol the borders or raid unsuspecting lands, but rather; to hunt. To track down their prey and glory in the thrill of a hunt before bringing it down before returning back. Their duty; to fill the bellies of their pack and keep it that way, no matter the season. These hunters will and can go far away distances just to find fresh meat. But for now, they learn and gather their strength.
__________ -Rank 2-
Felid'ra
2 tier one hunts, 1 passed length run tests, 1 group hunts (tier 1), 1 Imbrue.
You’ve passed the basic necessary tests of your previous title and gained a new one. However, with a new title, comes new challenges. As a being training to become one who runs for long periods of distances for unknown amounts of times in order to bring a kill down, you will need to keep your endurance and stamina up. Have your fellow branch members test you--run until they tell you to stop--or go on a group hunt--see for yourself how much you’ll need to push yourself to do your duty.
__________ -Rank 3-
Meln'dre
1 Imbrues, 2 group hunts (1 tier one, 1 tier two), 1 foraging trip, 1 instance of tracking prey, 1 tier one hunt.
You’ve come to a point as a Meln’dre where you’re faced with a decision. Do you wish to discover the entirety of a kill falling limp beneath your talons, the life of keeping track of every movement the prey a hunter will bring down during the seasons, or the somewhat mellow instance of gathering. How you wish to proceed is up to you.
Meln'dre - branches off into Hunter/Han’tl, Foragers/F’ect’ahd, Tracker/T’rehm ____________________________________
__________ -Rank 1 of Hunter/Han'tl-
Va'th
2 tier one hunts, 1 tier two hunt, 2 group hunts (1 tier one, 1 tier two), 1 Imbrues.
You’ve decided not to attempt and change the direction of the wind that blows through the tufts of fur at your neck. While previously you were learning and training, you are beyond the days of such. While not considered the highest in the pecking order of Han’tl, you are one. You are a hunter--and beyond the pressures of finding food, you must realize that survival of not only you but the pack as a whole rests in your paws. Come to this conclusion quick.
__________ -Rank 2 of Hunter/Han'tl-
G'kelm
2 tier one hunts, 3 tier two hunts, 1 group hunt (tier 3), 1 Imbrue.
As a G’kelm, you’ve realized the truth of your duty. The effort and hard work needed to keep the entirety of the pack fed, while also making sure that you yourself don’t burn out. At these times the previous development of trust made at the start of your training doing group hunts can suffice to give you a somewhat ‘break’, easing the instance of having to do everything yourself and splitting it between other beings you trust.
__________ -Rank 3 of Hunter/Han'tl-
Hu'zev
5 tier two hunts, 3 group hunts (tier 3), 1 meeting with the Gods, 1 Imbrue.
You’ve gotten used to the feel of strained muscles and sore limbs as you return home dragging a carcass or multiple carcasses in your maw. Breaks don’t come often in this rank considering that hunger doesn’t stop, nor is there a feeding schedule. People feed when they want, just as food rots--when it wants. So far you’ve been keeping your duty upheld, but how much longer can you continue to push yourself before you fall to the forest floor much like the once alive prey did before it met its end?
__________ -Rank 1 of Foragers/F’ect’ahd-
Kuj'r
2 times of learning what berries/etc can be eaten or not, 1 Imbrues, 3 foraging trips.
While the sight of prey scrambling upon its hooves or paws to escape you set your instinctual desires aflame, you found it didn’t do the rest of your needs justice. Shaking your head at the path of a Han’tl, you set your sights on another. While it may not seem like much, as a F’ect’ahd, you bring in food, that while not supplementing the diet in a major way--do supplement it, especially during months at which finding prey can be difficult--and to the beings who choose to eat them over the latter, your role is a major one.
__________ -Rank 2 of Foragers/F'ect'ahd-
T'vamda
2 times of learning what berries/etc can be eaten or not, 1 Imbrues, 4 foraging trips.
Holding the title you do now means that you’ve surpassed the time of not understanding what berry could poison someone, if people would actually eat what you provided, or the possible disregarding looks you may have received from the ones who consider themselves the ‘real’ hunters. While your bounteous load of treasures may not include a fawn or hare carcass within your maw, the fellow hunters within your branch (most of if any) recognize your importance for the beings who can’t stomach the sight of blood despite their predatory nature, or the nursing mother’s who need as much as they can get to ensure the next generation.
__________ -Rank 3 of Foragers/F'ect'ahd-
Fveyn'd
2 times of learning what berries/etc can be eaten or not, 1 Imbrues, 6 foraging trips, 1 meeting with the gods.
Besides the stock of freshly hunted meals that provide a majority of Sciamachy Mortala food on the daily, you find that during the harsh winters or provoked cold nights--most don’t wish to gnaw on frozen meat and much rather prefer it right from the maw of the hunter when it hits the ground. You become busy during these cold days while the Han’tl slow, trying to find prey that may have long since scattered.
__________ -Rank 1 of Tracker/T’rehm-
Gr'vma
2 successfully tracked object/animal/etc, 1 tracking trip, 1 group tracking trip, 1 identifying animal based solely on paw/hoof print, 1 Imbrue.
You’ve shifted your focus away from the job of a Han’tl or a F’ect’ahd, and instead focus your attention on the duty of knowing the path of a sight long unseen. Your duty? To not only to track down prey yourself and chart the activities of them to fill in both guard and hunter but to also help out the other branches that may need the same attention. For instance a D’actarti’v, who may need a second paw when tracking down one for punishment.
__________ -Rank 2 of Tracker/T'rehm-
Y'v'no
2 tracking trip,
2 group tracking trip,
2 identifying animal based solely on paw/hoof print,
1 Imbrue.
Being a T’rehm, you’ve not only trained up your senses but also made significant progress in successfully tracking down prey and other various objects you may be pointed out to find. Some days you run long and hard following a trail and others it’s right under your nose, but no less does this not give you the experience of discovering new scents and finding new locations. Due to such, you’re often a go-to ‘information broker’ for fellow ranks within different branches.
__________ -Rank 3 of Tracker/T'rehm-
Teg'mak
3 tracking trip,
3 group tracking trip,
3 identifying animal based solely on paw/hoof print,
1 meeting with the Gods, 1 Imbrue.
You’ve tracked down prey, Those who need to be punished and ran, Wandering pups under the not-so-vigilant eye of their worried parents, and many more instances that can be named. With your developed skill, while you may be apart of a branch usually dedicated to food, you find yourself as a Teg’mak doing much more than just that. You help in an entirely different way than just filling bellies.
__________ -Rank 4-
Svldi
2 tier three group hunts/foraging trips/tracking trips, 1 tier one hunt, 1 foraging trip, 1 tracking trip, 1 tier two hunt, 2 challenges, 1 meeting with the Gods, 1 blessings from the Gods, 1 Imbrue.
Being a Svldi, you made the decision to embark past your previous rank whatever it may have been within your branch and instead set your sights upon a higher purpose. Taking your skills with you, you may have just won the support of fellow pack-mates on your venture. After all, a way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach. But who says your fellow branch-mates won’t challenge you for the title you currently hold?
__________ -Rank 5- Highest branch
Leki'n
3 tier three group hunts/foraging trips/tracking trips, 1 Imbrues, 1 tier one hunt, 1 foraging trip, 1 tracking trip, 2 tier two hunts, 4 challenges, 4 meetings with the gods, 4 blessings from the gods.
No matter how you came to be or how you gained your skill, you’ve reached the highest point you can in your branch. Hours of strenuous activity either tracking, foraging, or hunting is still upheld by you. Along with the added occasional challenge for your title. It is tiring, but it is a duty that must be upheld and while others may have chosen to step back and stay as they are, you and a few fellows make the effort to climb higher.
